How I turned my frustration to passion, why I am in Future work is digital!

 

A year ago, and at the age of 30, I was sitting alone in my spare time, in my long spare time at my work, my own work actually, my community pharmacy in one of the calm streets in Tanta city, I recalled a long scene of my college years, the graduation ceremony and the first steps in that career, I remembered how I loved pharmacy once upon a time, but when I practiced it, it didn’t seem to be like what I thought it would be like!

A hell of graduates are pushed to the market every year, pharmacies are every where, the profession has its own and unique problems now, it is not that attractive job as in the past, the most killing attribute now for me was the lack of creativity, I do what I do every day, routine killed the passion, I lost my enthusiasm, added to this comes a major deficit: the income was not satisfactory.

A patient asking for a single tablet of antibiotic interrupted my thoughts,  I served him and then stopped my memories flow, What is next!

I can’t change the world, I can not develop the job, it is surrounded by a lot of problems, I can change my self, I have to find myself, I have to be  in shape, do what I love and love what I do, what about my old passion!

I used to love writing, I read a lot and I had some writings that was admired by my friends on social media, I am gonna shift my career, I started a self learning proess last summer, I started to learn about marketing, digital marketing, designs and video making.

I launched 2 pages, one of them I made videos and articles in simple language to inform people about drugs and medications, the other was about marketing, I made marked progress in learning marketing and social media marketing, I started to get clients who want me to advertise for them, until the day an ad showed up to me, FWD initiative, I made a quick online survey about the program and I signed up immediately, I still lack some knowledge, I still need some experiences and I still have to collaborate with peers to enhance my skills, and here I am in Digital Marketing Nanodegree Program from Udacity & FWD initiative.
